        Elad Gabbay | Silence

      2025 International Oud Festival
      Elad Gabbay | Silence

Composer, poet, and Jerusalem oud player Elad Gabbay’s most unique and complex work. With original words and music, Gabbay tells a captivating artistic story through a variety of Eastern maqams, rhythmic harmonies, and a poem about the silence that emerges from quiet and contemplation. A unique performance where modern harmonies and rhythms naturally envelop an authentic Eastern melody, creating an original artistic statement together.

Elad Gabbay vocals, oud | Sarel Hacohen qanun | Shoham Gabbay ney | Yaara Beeri kamancheh | Johanna Rittmüller violin | Zion Badi violin | Itzik Gan violin | LinoyAkala vocals, background vocals | Gil Shapira guitars | Amit Sharon drums, percussion | Yehuda Ashash bass
