Oud Festival - The Israeli Andalusian Orchestra Hosts Anas Belahashmi and the Bridges of Love Ensemble (Morocco)

A performance by the Moroccan Bridges of Love Ensemble – five leading singers from Morocco, representing the promising younger generation, led by vocal artist Anas Belahashmi – together with five Israeli paytanim from the Ensemble of the Center for Andalusian Culture and Piyyut in Israel, all on one stage. Roi Azulai will conduct them all in a performance dedicated to the new voices of Andalusian music.
The performance is a live musical dialogue, sung in Hebrew and Arabic, between Jewish and Muslim traditions. The ancient roots of the Andalusian tradition are presented in new arrangements and a youthful spirit, revealing the shared cultural wealth woven over generations among communities, languages and cultures around the Mediterranean, and giving a new voice to the magnificent Andalusian tradition.
