A tribute to Ahuva Ozeri, one of the most original and influential creators in Israeli music, marking ten years since her death. A journey into Ozeri’s rich musical world, offering a renewed and fascinating encounter with her iconic works.
Musician-singer-bassist-composer Avi Belleli is one of the founders of the band The Tractor’s Revenge and the creator of groundbreaking projects that connected rock, electronics, Mizrahi music and piyyut, as well as the renowned dance work with the Batsheva Dance Company, “Echad Mi Yodea”. As in Belleli’s previous projects, this performance also creates connections between musical worlds that may appear distant from one another, yet are rooted in common sources and together create a new language.
Belleli will be accompanied by an ensemble of six musicians, some of whom accompanied Ozeri over the years and carry with them her unique musical DNA. They will be joined by singers Efrat Gosh, Hila Ruach, Ruth Dolores Weiss and Galia Hai, each bringing her own voice and original point of view into Ozeri’s timeless work.
