Pianist and composer Omri Mor hosts percussionist and singer Shlomo Bar. The performance focuses on the influence and inspiration of the Algerian tradition within Andalusian music on jazz, moving between original Andalusian works and compositions by Mor and Bar. The two will be accompanied by a band that will present the Andalusian musical tradition as a living tradition, shaped by the different musical languages of the players.
Mor learned the secrets of North African Andalusian music from oud and Algerian music master Nino Biton. Bar is a pioneer of Israel’s world music scene and leader of the band Habrera Hativit.
