The Galil Ensemble, lead by cellist Liat Saba, brings a new performance to Confederation House. “Sounds of the Galilee” brings together eastern ethnic music and western classical music in a fascinating journey that moves between the sounds of Jewish, Arabic, Armenian, Turkish and Romanian traditions. The musical fabric created by the ensemble’s seven players offers a masterpiece combining new and old that touches heart and soul.
Saba is a composer and arranger who came to the Galilee from New York with the aim of creating an international ensemble inspired by her experiences and life in the cosmopolitan New York scene.
