A premier by vocalist Maureen Nehedar, devoted to the golden age of Iranian pop and rock music that began in the 1950s and ended in the late 70s with the rise of radical Islamic rule. During that time the influence of Western pop music reached Iran and was seen as a sign of openness and progress, bringing an unprecedented wave of creativity by many gifted artists.
Nehedar will perform some of the finest songs of the period that were performed by the leading artists of that time: Muhamad Reza Shajarian, Gogosh, Darius, Murtaza, Korush, Vigan and others.
With her unique voice and personal interpretations Nehedar presents a rich musical picture of a unique period now gone but even today cherished by millions of Iranian exiles in Israel and abroad.
