The Ethnika Band in a Jerusalem Independence Celebration

The Jerusalem Ethnika Band, as its name indicates, offers world music combining East and West, ethnic melodies and rock. The band’s leaders are oud and qanoun player and vocalist Elad Gabbai and bass player and vocalist Yehuda Ashash. Ethnika comes to the First Station with a Jerusalem Independence celebration—a bouncy fusion of world and rock music, partying songs and lots of joy. Gabbai and Ashash are accompanied on guitar by Gil Shapira, by saz and baglama player Eliyahu Digmi and by drummer Ofer Benita.
