Kokhava Levy, the widow of composer, paytan and vocalist Yitzhak Levy and mother of vocalist Yasmin Levy, returns to Confederation House with a moving performance with some of the finest Ladino songs. Levy will perform traditional Ladino songs as well as piyyutim in arrangements that emphasize their power and color. Her daughter, Yasmin Levy, will be her guest. Levy was born and lives in Jerusalem. Her late husband Yitzhak devoted his life to preserving and memorializing the traditions of Spanish Jewry, and collecting Ladino romances. Levy has been singing for many years and has appeared with her daughter in concerts in Spain and Sweden, as well as at Confederation House.
