Virtuoso percussionist Zohar Fresco and Naseem Dakwar, one of the greatest violinists of Arab classical music, both founders of the Bustan Abraham band, return following years of international concerts with a new performance, Bab al Hawa (Gate of the Winds/Spirit/Love).
The performance is a turbulent and moving journey of two pioneers of maqam music in Israel and internationally, who have presented new and original works delving into the rich world of the maqamat and new areas of sound and rhythm.
Joining them on this journey is oud player and composer Dr. Wassim Odeh, who was awarded second place in the International Oud Competition at the Cairo Opera House. He has played with Simon Shaheen, Omar Faruk Tekbilek and the Radiohead band.
