Flutist Matan Klein’s ensemble presents a tribute to Brazil’s music greats of the 70s and 80s. Those years, under the military junta, were dark and difficult for lovers of freedom and creativity. Consequently, the music created then was also more pensive, its colors changed as did the character of musical works. The ensemble offers the songs of that period in young and vibrant renditions, inspired by various connections that emerged then between Brazilian and American jazz musicians.
