The quartet of composer, poet and kamanja player Yagel Harush seeks to reconstruct one of the ancient and exciting rituals of night song—tikun hatzot. This is shirat bakashot on closeness, redemption of the heart, the nation and the world. Alongside psalms, elegies and piyyutim, the quartet will also perform new and original piyyutim from the Diwan Yagel Ben Yaakov—Songs for the Midnight Hour. These piyyutim by Harush, were written specially for performance during tikun hatzot. All come together in a modern tikun hatzot.
